This guide covers reference details regarding the climate control system on the BYD Dolphin G DM-i, a plug-in hybrid vehicle.
Climate control features
The model is equipped with auto air conditioning as standard, and the Boost trim adds rear air vents. The Comfort trim includes a panoramic roof with an electric sunshade, which can affect cabin temperature. The vehicle interior dimensions support the climate system; the overall length is 4,160 mm and the height is 1,575 mm. The wheelbase is 2,610 mm, which provides interior space for the system to cool or heat. High-voltage components must not be opened by owners.
Safety during climate repairs
Handling air-conditioning refrigerant is restricted. Any system repair is for an authorised BYD dealer or qualified workshop. If the cooling performance drops, check your owner’s manual for simple setting adjustments. For hardware faults, confirm with an authorised BYD dealer / service centre. BYD’s own procedure applies to refrigerant replacement.
