The New BYD Seal U DM-i is a plug-in hybrid SUV featuring BYD’s Super Hybrid DM-i powertrain. This system pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a traction battery (Blade Battery) and electric motors to deliver a combined WLTP range of up to 700 miles. Proper maintenance is essential for preserving the performance of both the petrol engine and the high-voltage electrical components.

BYD’s own procedure applies to all repair work, and any repairs to safety systems, the engine, or the battery must be performed by an authorised BYD dealer / service centre or a qualified workshop.
